Cider Making Dates for 2011

For 2011 we have purchased a second scratter and a Bladder Press which will allow us to press more fruit in the same time so we can offer our service to larger orchards.

We press fruit to make cider
all day Saturday in September, October and November as apples ripen and weekdays and Sundays as requested.
Typically, we reserve Sundays for orchard/community pressing days.
Please call us in advance to book your slot. We will be pressing apples at Coldmoor Cottage or at a range of local venues.
The
Core Information and Do`s and Don`ts pages will help explain what is involved.

Big Apple weekend 8-9th October
This is a great opposrtunity to learn about cider making from table-top cider presses through to artisan scale. The weekend involves lots of apple events in and around Much Marcle, Herefordshire.
We will be pressing at
The Walwyn Arms, Much Marcle
Saturday 8th October
Sunday 9th October  contact us to book in advance
Bring you apples along to The Walwyn Arms so you can relax with a pint as you toil. We can help source apples if you don`t have any of your own, or you want to supplement them.

Saturday 5th November
Cider Making at Once Upon a Tree as part of the Year in the Orchard.
Hannah and Simon are opening their orchard for walks and talks, and their cider shop will be open for tastings.
You can either bring your own apples or pick the same apples they use to make their award-winning cider. We are considering re-convening next May to have a grand tasting and compare how the ciders differ...........

And don`t forget our apple pomace is fed to rare breed piglets at Pork & Two Veg . If you would like some sausages, bacon or joints, you can place your order with Jo and collect when you make your cider.
